B&B in London
We enjoy sharing our home. You'll enjoy one of two small double guest bedrooms, the one guest bathroom, as well as have access to our sitting room and piano area and the summer roof terraces. Your host has travelled the world and knows those extras that spell convenience and affordable comfort in one of the world's largest, and most exciting, albeit expensive, cities.

Located in the part of central London called Fulham, off Fulham Road/Fulham Broadway, nestled between Chelsea and Parson’s Green, the house was built in 1872 and retains its original character, but with all the modern amenities you want as a first-class guest, who probably flew here on a no-frills ticket.

The best of London

Upon arrival, we'll share with you the weekly paper edition of Time-Out, acknowledged to be the most comprehensive listing of London's events, shows, museums, galleries and shops. Also check out our Musical Connections page for lots of music-specific links.

The best concierge service

You might not be paying £2,500 per night for a suite at Claridge's, but why not take advantage of their online concierge service just the same? Click here and then go to the Theatre drop- down menu for an overview of 'what's on' in London.

"Where do you get that tea from?"

The best things in life are all available to buy somewhere in London, and we've gathered together a few pointers for those wondering where we got our waffle bathrobes from, or can't countenance leaving the city without some of that deadly but delectable jam...

Who enjoys sharing our home?
Our B&B guests visit London to experience as much as possible, usually during all-too-short a stay! In the morning, they enjoy breakfast, served either in the kitchen or the dining area of the sitting room, usually between 7:30 and 8:30 (earlier if they like) so that they can get out for a full day in London or beyond.

We give you a set of keys so that you may come and go as you please. You will be staying in a Virctorian terraced house (town house) that has 5 different levels, with stairs to match (!), not a hotel-- no lifts (elevators), no separate, off street entrance for guests; the private guest rooms and private guest bathroom are part of the house pictured on this site.

London B&B to come home to
Our guests like an easy-going atmosphere, with just the right touches to make it more than comfortable. At the end of the day, guests appreciate a welcoming place to “come home to”. They want to spend their money on theatre, concerts, walking tours and good food; so they stay with us, rather than the marble-clad hotels up the road.

Playing host to musicians
Barclay House B&B has been popular with the some of the finest classical musicians in the world, who like to take advantage of our Seiler grand piano whilst relaxing between stage or academic commitments.

Eating out
Within two to five minutes walking distance are an excellent range of restaurants, from Italian, Spanish, Indian and Vietnamese, which offer good value, to one of the best five-star restaurants (The Blue Elephant-Thai), and one of the hottest salsa clubs in London. Just across Eel Brook Common is New King's Road, famed for its antique and interior design shops.

Take to the stage
Contrary to what you see on the streets of London, there is still only one official London half-price ticket booth. See what's on tonight in the West End:

Experience the glorious greenery of Hyde Park in style by bicycle. Slow-moving traffic in London means it’s often faster to cycle than to sit in a cab or on a red double-decker bus.
