Our London B&B home has two very well appointed small double guest bedrooms for exclusive use by our London B&B guests ("compact but well laid out," says Alastair Sawday of Special Places to Stay). There is one guest bathroom on the same level as the two guest double bedrooms. Your host has a separate bedroom and bathroom. We do not offer 'en suite' ie bathrooms connected directly to the bedroom(s). We are 'wireless'. Bring your laptop and we'll give you the password for free high-speed access.

The first small double bedroom receives the morning sun; it has a regular, normal-height double bed (4' 6"/140cm wide) with upholstered headboard, with a wonderful BeautyRest mattress, table for your laptop, an armchair, halogen bedside reading lamps, wide Victorian double-sashed window, radiator with thermostat (central heating), 3-foot wide closet with shelves, hanging space and coat/trouser/skirt hangers (and space above to store luggage--or we'll store empty suitcases for you), powerful hair dryer, dressing gowns (cotton waffle 'bathrobes') make-up mirror, sherry decanter, alarm clock and two open luggage racks.

Both rooms have fresh cotton bathrobes and freshly pressed 100% Egyptian cotton bedding awaits...alarm clocks, umbrellas, powerful hairdryers and WiFI...only the finest.

The private guest bathroom is used by B&B guests only and is located on the same level as the two double guest bedrooms. It has a deep tub with a low-level showerhose and a heated towel rail; the walls are mirror-lined from floor to ceiling. Bath soaps, shower gel, towels, flannels (face cloths), extra toiletries and several powerful hairdryers and curling irons are available for your use.

The second small double bedroom also receives the morning sun; it has a double bed at normal height with a luxurious TEMPURA mattress (4' 6"/140cm wide) and upholstered headboard, wall-mounted bedside lamps as shown above, 2 open luggage racks, large Victorian double-sashed window, radiator with thermostat (central heating), 5-foot wide closet with plenty of coat/trouser/skirt hangers, a luggage rack inside to store a large, open suitcase, powerful hair dryer, dressing gowns (cotton waffle 'bathrobes') make-up mirror, sherry decanter, alarm clock and a small dressing table with folding chair.

Hot breakfast is served to order, at a mutally agreed time, in the kitchen or dining area of the sitting room, depending on the number of guests staying. Start your summer day in the cool of the morning with a cup of coffee on the roof terrace. When you return in the evening purchase your choice of refreshment at the excellent wine store (Nicolas) around the corner and climb the stairs to our rooftop oasis of calm.

If yours is a winter trip to London, then why not return from a long day to relax in front of the open fire.

The sitting room is yours to use as a place to relax. Use of the grand piano by arrangement. We encourage anyone with an urge to enjoy the ebony and ivory .

Deposit

A one-night non-refundable deposit secures and confirms your booking. See below for payment options.

What's included?

When we say it costs £87.00 per night for two people sharing the double bedroom, we mean just that. No further taxes or charges (for instance, no 17.5% hotel tax, because we are not a hotel). Included is a healthy breakfast for you (organic eggs, bacon, fruit, yogurt, strong coffee, real orange juice--not from concentrate etc), served at an agreed time, usually before 9:00 a.m.

We love helping our guests make the most of their stay. All we ask is that if you do need help booking tickets, cabs and tours in the city, allow us to assist you well in advance (your host does something “unspeakaby high-powered by day" in the rooftop studio, observes Alastair Sawday in 'Special Places to Stay').

Payment

The deposit can be made by Visa or Mastercard or by cheques drawn in US Dollars, Pound Sterling, or Euro. Email us for more details.

We provide receipts for those on business trips or anyone who can write off their time to a taxable purpose.
