B&B at its best...Our London B&B home has two, very well appointed, small double guest bedrooms for exclusive use by our London B&B guests ("compact but well laid out," says Alastair Sawday of Special Places to Stay). Guest rooms have locks with keys. Off the hallway, there is one guest bathroom on the same level as the two guest double bedrooms--the guest bathroom is not connected to either of the guest bedrooms. Your hosts have their own separate bedroom and bathroom, so you won't be sharing the bathroom with your hosts (often the case in B&B homes). We do not offer 'en suite' ie bathrooms connected directly to the bedroom(s). November 2009: the guest bathroom has been totally redecorated in white, glass and mirrors--5-star quality, including a "rain" shower over the full-size, deep bath. We are 'wireless'. Bring your laptop and we'll give you the password for free high-speed access.
Space: if you travel with three suitcases, a B&B is not for you as space is at a premium in London Victorian homes. We've recently had disappointed guests (the first time in 18 months) who felt that our guest rooms should be bigger; please consider your need for luggage space before booking. Each guest room has two luggage racks.
Self-catering apartment....We also offer a separate, two-bedroom, self-catering apartment (flat) in this house--at upper ground floor level, not in a dark basement--plenty of light and air. Please ask for details.

The first small double bedroom receives the morning sun; it has a regular, normal-height double bed (4' 6"/140cm wide) with upholstered headboard, with a wonderful BeautyRest mattress, table for your laptop, an armchair, halogen bedside reading lamps, wide Victorian double-sashed window, radiator with thermostat (central heating),
3-foot wide closet with shelves, hanging space and coat/trouser/skirt hangers (and space above to store luggage--or we'll store empty suitcases for you), powerful hair dryer, dressing gowns (cotton waffle 'bathrobes') make-up mirror, sherry decanter, alarm clock and two open luggage racks.
Both rooms have fresh cotton bathrobes and freshly pressed linens,
several powerful hairdryers and curling irons are available
for your use.
100% Egyptian
cotton bedding awaits...alarm clocks, umbrellas, very powerful hairdryers and WiFI...only the finest.

The private guest bathroom used only by B&B guests staying in our two B&B guest rooms is located on the same level as the two double guest bedrooms. Redone in November 2009 to a five-star standard, it has a deep bathtub with an overhead rainfall shower as well as a hand-held mixer
showerhose, heated towel rail, sink and 'loo'; the walls are tile-lined from floor
to ceiling, and there is plenty of pressurized hot water (not always the case in London!). Bath soaps, shower gels, towels, flannels (face cloths), are to hand.

The second small double bedroom also receives the morning sun; it has a double bed at normal height with a luxurious TEMPUR mattress (4' 6"/140cm wide) and upholstered headboard, wall-mounted bedside lamps as shown above, 2 open luggage racks, large Victorian double-sashed window, radiator with thermostat (central heating), 5-foot wide closet with plenty of coat/trouser/skirt hangers, a luggage rack inside to store a large, open suitcase, powerful hair dryer, dressing gowns (cotton waffle 'bathrobes') make-up mirror, sherry decanter, alarm clock and a small dressing table with folding chair.
A light continental breakfast is served at a mutally agreed time, in the kitchen or dining area of the sitting room, depending on the number of guests staying. We can also offer a 'lean' fry up for those planning a busy day. Start your summer day in the cool
of the morning with a cup of coffee on the roof terrace.
When you return in the evening purchase your choice of refreshment
at the excellent wine store (Nicolas) around the corner and climb
the stairs to our rooftop oasis of calm.

If yours is a winter trip to London, then why not return
from a long day to relax in front of the open fire.
The sitting room is yours to share with your hosts as a place to relax. Use of the grand piano by arrangement. We encourage anyone with an urge to enjoy the ebony and ivory .
