2 minutes away
Just around the corner is everything you need, from some of the
best food shops, a fruit and vegetable street market, dry cleaners,
laundry, pubs, cinemas, as well as excellent ethnic restaurants
that offer good value (from sushi to tapas and some of the best
pizza north of Rome) to five-star establishments catering to the most
discerning palettes.
If you plan to arrive by London Underground,
it couldn't be easier. The nearest station is Fulham Broadway
on the District Line, the house is just two minutes, and two
streets away across the Fulham Road.

Upon arriving at London Heathrow airport,
either take the tube to Fulham Broadway (cheapest option), or there is an express train service to Paddington station in
central London, 15 minutes ride in total. Then take the tube
or a black cab to 21 Barclay Road. Those arriving at Gatwick
can take a similar express train to Victoria station and then
take a cab from there. For Stansted airport arrivals, there
is a regular train service down to Liverpool Street station
where you can pick up the tube. Luton airport arrivals should
take the Thameslink train to King's Cross and jump on the
tube.

You can get there from here
Fashionable Kings Road (shop-till-you-drop designer label heaven)
and New Kings Road (antique and interior design wonderland) are
within walking distance. A bit further up Fulham Road is South Kensington
(Victoria and Albert Museum, Science Museum, Royal Albert Hall).

Taxis
London’s famous black cabs are easy to hail around the corner
at any time of day or night. Look out for the orange light which
indicates the cab is available.
Avoid private, so-called "minicabs" offered on the street,
they are almost all unlicensed and likely to be unsafe or a rip-off.

Leave home without it
Travel light, that’s our advice, because we have all the bulky
stuff here. We can provide you with feather-lite mini umbrellas,
powerful hairdryers, the right maps, the best guides, and useful
advice on walking tours, the latest shows, concerts and half-price
tickets.
If it’s late at night and you realise that you forgot your
toothbrush, don’t worry, we have a new one waiting for you;
or the chemist (pharmacy) around the corner can kit you out with
the latest angle on bristles. With a dry cleaner and laundromat
nearby, a few coordinated outfits and the right shoes will get you
far in London.
If your stay is over a Tuesday or Friday, take advantage of our
in-house ironing service, by arrangement.
