The iconic London red buses take you up or down Fulham Road to everything that is London. Hop on the Number 14 to or 414 to Harrods and Piccadilly for Fortnam and Mason as well as the Royal Academy of Art, or the 211 to Westminster Abbey.
The ‘poor man’s tours bus’, the Nr 11, takes you right across London; from Fulham Broadway, up Kings Road for fashionable shopping, through Sloane Square, past Victoria station and on to Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament, Whitehall, The Strand for Covent Garden and West End theatres and on to Fleet Street, Bank and Liverpool Street.
For an evening stroll and a pint, take the 14 or 414 down to Putney Bridge for a walk around Fulham Palace to admire the arboretum of trees brought back over three centuries as presents for the Bishops of London by explorers who discovered the far reaches of the world. Then reward yourself with a pint at the famous Star and Garter on the River Thames, or try the Young's Pub at The Boathouse and then go next door to Carluccio’s for good Italian and views over the River Thames. As the sun sinks, take in the calm glow of the Victorian lanterns adorning Putney Bridge.
